This 1909 brick mansion at B and 20th streets is getting a face-lift as the 2005 Showcase House of Design. The renovated home, styled after a Civil War-era plantation house, will be open for tours this fall. The mansion was built for John "Jack" M. Jameson and his wife, Charlotte Esther Baker. The porch was later enclosed and the stable to the right was apparently converted into a three-car garage with two bedrooms and a bathroom above for the domestic help.
